Kaito Winse (Bxl / Burkina Faso)

L’inspiration de Kaito Winse tire son essence de son village natal Lankoue. Depuis lors, il n’a cessé d’ancrer ses concepts artistiques dans le but d’insuffler de l’optimisme et d’inspirer les gens à affronter les défis de la vie avec courage. Avec une voix aussi puissante et envoûtante qu’un opéra, la scansion magistrale et le talent narratif de Kaito entraînent l’auditeur vers des vérités intemporelles. Fort d’un talent polyvalent, il joue de nombreux instruments: calebasse, archet à bouche, flûte peule, flûte toutlé et tama, un tambour réputé pour imiter la parole humaine. Entre proverbes et dictons anciens, musique et danse, la nouvelle œuvre de Kaito Winse est une invitation à trouver la force face aux épreuves de la vie. TISDASS (Niger)

Tisdass est le groupe du chanteur guitariste Moussa Kildjate Albadé. Installé à Niamey et originaire de Tchinntabarade, ville emblématique des kel tamasheq du Niger. La signification du groupe veut dire « Piliers » en langue tamasheq et fait référence aux piliers abritant les tentes traditionnelles berbères. Ce nom est le signe d’un attachement fort à une culture que TisDAss entend défendre et faire connaître par la force de la musique. Grandissant aux sons de Tinariwen, Bob Marley ou encore Dire Strait qu’écoutait son père, l’envie de se battre avec les mots et les guitares est arrivé après un traumatisme. Alors enfant, il voit l’armée de son pays abattre une partie de sa famille, elle qui chantait pourtant la liberté d’un peuple et l’espoir de jours meilleurs pour une culture millénaire.
Il comprend que les armes n’engendrent que du malheur et à l’instar des pionniers du blues touareg, il apprend la guitare et écrit des chansons afin de rendre possible la paix et l’indépendance de son peuple.

Tisdass is the band of singer-guitarist Moussa Kildjate Albadé. Based in Niamey and originally from Tchinntabarade, an emblematic town of the Kel Tamasheq people of Niger. The band’s meaning means « Pillars » in the Tamasheq language and refers to the pillars sheltering traditional Berber tents. This name is a sign of a strong attachment to a culture that TisDAss intends to defend and promote through the power of music. Growing up to the sounds of Tinariwen, Bob Marley, and Dire Strait, which his father listened to, the desire to fight with words and guitars came after a traumatic experience. As a child, he witnessed his country’s army slaughter part of his family, even though they sang of the freedom of a people and the hope of better days for a thousand-year-old culture. He understood that weapons only brought misfortune and, like the pioneers of Tuareg blues, he learned the guitar and wrote songs in order to make peace and independence possible for his people.
